Mouser Authorized for Global Distribution of Micrel’s High-Performance IC Solutions

March 19, 2013 – Mouser Electronics, Inc. today announced it is partnering with Micrel, a leading manufacturer of IC solutions, to offer Micrel’s broad range of high-performance semiconductors and solutions.

Micrel’s product portfolio includes high-performance analog, power, advanced mixed-signal, and radio frequency semiconductors. The company also produces high-speed communication, clock management, and LAN solutions for a variety of global markets and advanced applications. Micrel’s award-winningMIC943xx Ripple Blocker™ ICs provide low-frequency ripple attenuation to a regulated output voltage. This monolithic IC solution is important for RF applications and other designs that require a DC/DC switching converter to lower or raise a battery voltage but that have sensitive downstream circuits that cannot tolerate switching noise. Package Evolution for MOSFETs and Diodes
Sponsored by Mouser Electronics and Vishay
A limiting factor for both MOSFETs and diodes is power dissipation per unit area and your choice of packaging can make a big difference in power dissipation. In this episode of Chalk Talk, Amelia Dalton and Brian Zachrel from Vishay investigate how package evolution has led to new advancements in diodes and MOSFETs including minimizing package resistance, increasing power density, and more! They also explore the benefits of using Vishay’s small and efficient PowerPAK® and eSMP® packages and the migration path you will need to keep in mind when using these solutions in your next design.
