Amplicon launch low cost high performance embedded computer

Brighton, UK, January 2nd, 2013 – Amplicon introduce the Impact-E 100 series, a  compact fanless embedded system powered by the Intel® Atom™ N2800 dual-core processor and featuring Intel® NM10 Express Chipset and 2GB DDR3 SO-DIMM memory.

Amplicon have introduced a significant enhancement to the industrial embedded Impact-E range, the Impact-E 100 series. Built using the Cedar Trail ATOM™, N2800, and supporting the Intel® GMA3600 graphics, the new Impact-E 100 is compact, light weight, and has a power consumption of less than 11W.

Designed for low power and space restricted applications, the Impact-E 100 is well suited to multiple markets such as transportation, security, POS, and industrial automation.

The Impact-E 100 comes with numerous expansion options, offering space for an additional 2.5” hard drive/solid state drive and mSATA, as well as optional Wi-Fi modules. The Impact-E 100 is capable of delivering high end multimedia and Internet with support for dual display and full HD 1080p video playback while consuming minimal power.

Encased in a fanless aluminium chassis, the Impact-E 100 dissipates heat effectively, ensuring smooth operation in demanding environments with support for DC or AC power.

Gavin Chalkley, Industrial Computing Specialist at Amplicon commented: “The release of the Impact-E 100 signifies Amplicon’s ever growing technical and design knowledge to ensure all demands are met for any application requirement. A superb compact system”.
