Flexera Software to Present Session on Creating & Maintaining Value from Embedded Software at Telematics Munich Conference

Maidenhead, October 17, 2012 –

What:

Flexera Software’s Ed McNeil, Principle Strategy Consultant EMEA, will be presenting a session entitled, “Creating and Maintaining Value from Embedded Software” at the Telematics Munich 2012 Conference and Exhibition.

Edward McNeil is Principle Strategy Consultant at Flexera Software where he provides business solutions for companies seeking to monetise and protect their software intellectual property and gain return on investment for their software and embedded software. Flexera Software is a market leader in licensing, entitlement management and delivery solutions for application producers and intelligent device manufacturers.

Why:

Intelligent device manufacturers, including automobile makers, are increasingly relying on software to differentiate their products. This trend shifts the emphasis to increasingly connected device and usage-based software licensing terms.

This session will help attendees:

  • Unlock new revenue streams for embedded software by understanding customer’s usage patterns, which provides support for making intelligent developments decisions
  • Investigate how to reduce SKU (stock keeping unit) usage through remote enabling of different parts of the software stack in order to support different variations of similar products and ensure operational excellence
  • Create compelling value for customers through usage based licensing models to better meet customers’ needs
