Altium to celebrate Electronics Innovation at inaugural UK Engineering Design Show

Karlsruhe, Germany – 11 September 2012 – Altium <http://www.live.altium.com/> , provider of design software and services for the development of electronic and mechatronic systems and its UK value-added reseller Premier EDA Solutions <http://www.eda.co.uk/>  will showcase the industry leading electronics design tool Altium Designer <http://products.live.altium.com/>  at the Engineering Design Show <http://www.engineering-design-show.co.uk/>  in Coventry on 10th – 11th October 2012. Visitors to Stand B5 can discover the capabilities of Altium Designer and view some of the fantastic UK products, created from innovative companies with Altium Designer support.

“For the first time that I can recall, we have an exhibition dedicated to Engineering Design,” says Phil Mayo, MD of Premier. “This gives us an excellent opportunity to celebrate and showcase some of the fantastic work performed by UK customers using Altium software.”

Alongside the Showcase, Altium and Premier will offer a range of technical presentations from the booth. These will include specific technology demonstrations highlighting the capabilities of Altium Designer and showing how key efficiencies may be gained during the Electronics design process.

“We are pleased to say that Altium Designer is one of the leading electronics design toolsets in the world” says Frank Krämer, Technical Marketing Director of Altium EMEA. “Its integration, powerful data management, ease-of-use and unique subscription model of providing continuous updates to the software seems to strike a particular chord with UK electronics companies. It’s good to see how successful we are in this territory, as illustrated by our Customer Showcase.”

In addition to the Altium Designer demonstrations which can be seen on the booth and at the workshops, the Altium and Premier team will be joined by two leading experts delivering practical insights into specific technology areas: Martin O’Hara will introduce component, embedded software and board considerations for EMC avoidance at 12.15pm on 10th October and Jeff Punch from Stokes Research Institute will speak about thermal considerations at PCB level at 12.15pm on 11th October. These sessions will be free to all visitors to the Engineering Design Show.

Taking place 10th – 11th October 2012 in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, the inaugural Engineering Design Show aims to provide a joint platform for the needs of UK mechanical, electromechanical and electronics design engineers from across all industry sectors. The exhibition will be accompanied by a high-level conference program bringing together speakers from industry, government and academia as well as a practical 2-day workshop programme at which Altium will be presenting.
