PRQA announces ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 Certification for QA·C and QA·C++

Hersham, UK, 18th July 2012 / — PRQA | Programming Research, a global leader in static analysis, announces certification of QA·C 8.0 and QA·C++ 3.0 with MISRA Compliance Modules to the IEC 61508 and ratified version of ISO 26262 standards.

QA·C 8.0 with MISRA-C:1998 or MISRA-C:2004 Compliance Modules, and QA·C++ 3.0 with MISRA-C++:2008 Compliance Module have been certified by TÜV SÜD as “fit for purpose” for achieving compliance with ISO 26262:2011 and IEC 61508:2010. This certification dramatically reduces the time and cost of meeting the requirements of these standards during the software development phase. Coupled with the long history of use of QA·C and QA·C++ in software development, these certifications demonstrate that PRQA tools with MISRA are the static analysers of choice for any company developing software that needs to achieve ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 compliance for its products.

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
