19-inch industrial computer with slot-CPU technology based on the Intel® Q67 chipset

Munich, May 2012 – The three new 19-inch computer models from DSM Computer’s Infinity® family are based on the compact industrial slot CPU 96M4361o of the upper performance class. The Intel® Q67 chipset and the integrated Intel® Core desktop processor of the second generation with as many as four computing cores ensure high computing and graphic performance. Compared with the Intel® mobile product line, the desktop processors have a faster clock rate. The robust industrial PCs are available in the 4 U and 2 U variants in a stabile, high-quality rack.

The 2 U Infinity®96M1584E computer provides six free slots that can accept three long and three short plug-in cards. In addition to a 5.25-inch drive bay, a 3.5-inch bay is also present. Three 8-cm fans located behind a replaceable dust filter are provided to cool the system. The operating temperature range is 0° to +45° C.

DSM’s two 4 U Infinity® 96M1574 and 96M15801 systems offer 14 free slots. The 96M1574 model with 510 mm depth is designed to accept eight long and six short plug-in cards. The 96M15801 system with only 455 mm depth requires even less space. Overall, the 19-inch IPCs provide four or three 5.25-inch drive bays and one 3.5-inch bay. The drive cage reduces vibration. On request, a SATA removable frame, for example, for three drives, can be integrated for the 96M1574The slot CPU integrates a controller for connection of a maximum of four SATA II devices with RAID 0, 1, 0+1 and 5 support. A high-performance 12 cm fan behind a dust filter guarantees an operating temperature between 0° and 45° C.

On request, all three Infinity® industrial computers can be delivered with a DC power pack (12 V / 24 V / 48 V). To ensure the high quality, all CE-conform systems are always subjected to a burn-in test. DSM Computer offers a warranty period of two years.

The PICMG 1.3 96M4361o plug-in card in the high-end version is equipped with a high-performance Intel® Core™ i7-2600 (3.4 GHz) that integrates four cores and an 8 MB cache. Furthermore, the industrial SBC can be equipped with the high-performance Intel® Core™ i5-2400 (four cores, 3.1 GHz, 6 MB cache) or Intel® Core™ i3-2120 (two cores, 3.3 GHz, 3 MB cache) processors. The low-cost variant is available with an Intel® Pentium® G850 processor and two computing cores. In accordance with the PICMG 1.3 standard, a number of PCI Express™ x16, PCI Express™ x1 and PCI interfaces depending on the associated model are available.

Want early design analysis without simulation?

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Traditional verification methods are failing today's complex IC designs, which require a proactive, early-stage analysis approach. A shift-left methodology addresses IP block integration challenges and the limitations of traditional simulation and ERC tools. Insight Analyzer detects hard-to-find leakage issues across power domains, enabling early analysis without full simulation. Identify inefficiencies earlier to reduce rework, improve reliability, and enhance power performance.
