Meggitt Sensing Systems Announces Endevco® 1/4” Microphone Preamplifier

March 30, 2012, San Juan Capistrano, California, USA – Meggitt Sensing Systems, a Meggitt group division, has announced the Endevco® model EM26CB, a ¼” ISOTRON® microphone preamplifier with Microdot coaxial connector, designed for use with prepolarized condenser microphones in support of a variety of general purpose acoustic measurement requirements.

With a frequency response ranging from 2 Hz to 200 kHz (±0.2 dB) and featuring A-weighted noise levels of ≤ 2.5 µV rms, the Endevco® model EM26CB is constructed of corrosion resistant stainless steel and incorporates a small ceramic thick-film substrate with very high input impedance. The preamplifier is also shielded by a guard ring to minimize the influence of stray capacitance and microphone signal output interference.

Recommended accessories for the Endevco® model EM26CB include 1/4” condenser microphone models EM40BE and EM40BD; the model EM42AA handheld pistonphone calibrator, which facilitates field checks of complete acoustic measurement systems, as well as in-house microphone calibrations; the model 4416B ISOTRON® power supply (2-20 mA); and the model 133 three-channel signal conditioner. All Endevco® acoustic sensors and instrumentation are also backed by a five-year comprehensive product warranty, with quantities of the model EM26CB available for immediate customer shipment.

Want early design analysis without simulation?

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Traditional verification methods are failing today's complex IC designs, which require a proactive, early-stage analysis approach. A shift-left methodology addresses IP block integration challenges and the limitations of traditional simulation and ERC tools. Insight Analyzer detects hard-to-find leakage issues across power domains, enabling early analysis without full simulation. Identify inefficiencies earlier to reduce rework, improve reliability, and enhance power performance.
