Artila Releases ARM9 Single Board Computer Supporting High Resolution LCD

Taipei, Taiwan  March, 2012 — Artila Electronicsthe leading designer and manufacturer of ARM9 industrial PC, is proud to announce the launch of M-506an ARM9 Linux-based Single Board Computer. 

M-506 is a standard 3.5 form factor ARM9 Linux-based Single Board Computer powered by 400MHz AT91SAM9G45 ARM Thumb Processor with memory management unit, and equipped with128MB DDRRAM, 128MB NAND Flash, and 2MB DATAFlash. What makes M-506 stands out is it supports up to 1280 x 860 LCD with touch screen and four high speed USB 2.0 ports.  Thesefeatures make users free to choose LCD size from 3.5 to 12 for their user interface design and with best connectivity to latest GPRS/3G USB modem. M-506 is pre-installed with Linux 2.6.38 OS,busybox utility collectionlighttpd Web server, and various hardware device drivers. The GTK+ tool kit and qt4 embedded are also included to provide a userfriendly environment for the graphic user interface. M-506 also provides flexibilities in peripheral expansion by integrating one 10/100Mbps Ethernet, four USB 2.0 hosts, three RS-232 ports, one RS-422/485 port and LCD TTL/LVDS interface.The GNU C/C++ cross compiler is included in the development kit, allowing users to develop their application software in PC without the need to learn and purchase extra commercial developing tool.
