Molex Presents Global Distributor of the Year Award to Avnet Electronics Marketing

Molex Incorporated today announced that it has awarded the 2011 Global Distributor of the Year award to Avnet Electronics Marketing, a leading global distributor of electronic parts and embedded subsystems. Avnet Electronics Marketing is an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT – News), The Phoenix, Arizona-based firm accepted the award at a meeting in Phoenix. The Molex Global Distributor of the Year award recognizes valued partners demonstrating financial, operational and executive management excellence.

“We are proud to recognize Avnet’s significant contribution to our global distribution results in 2011,” stated Graham Brock, president, sales and marketing division, Molex. “This award represents the commitment demonstrated by the Avnet teams in Asia, Europe and the Americas and the contribution that it made to significant revenue growth for both our companies. The Avnet team achieved this recognition by growing POS revenue by more than 30% from the previous year. Avnet achieved the highest score on operations metrics and had the largest percent growth of lines stocked. Avnet further expanded the Molex global reach by promoting and stocking all of the new products introduced in FY11.

  • Financial: Year over year sales growth
  • Operational: Inventory management, new product support, order coverage, among other factors.
  • Management: Accessibility to management team, training program support, feedback on pricing strategy, etc.

Achieve Greater Design Flexibility and Reduce Costs with Chiplets

Sponsored by Keysight

Chiplets are a new way to build a system-on-chips (SoCs) to improve yields and reduce costs. It partitions the chip into discrete elements and connects them with a standardized interface, enabling designers to meet performance, efficiency, power, size, and cost challenges in the 5 / 6G, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR) era. This white paper will discuss the shift to chiplet adoption and Keysight EDA's implementation of the communication standard (UCIe) into the Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS).
