Setra Systems Introduces Industry’s First Multi-Configurable Wet-to-Wet Differential Pressure Transducer with Remote Sensors

February 12, 2012, Boxborough, Massachusetts, USA – Setra Systems, Inc. (www.setra.com), a leading global designer and manufacturer of pressure measurement instrumentation for industrial, test & measurement, HVAC/R, semiconductor, energy, environmental, medical, pharmaceutical, and meteorological requirements, has announced the global market introduction of the Multi-Sense® 231RS, the industry’s first multi-configurable wet-to-wet differential pressure transducer with remote sensors.

With availability in conduit and cable versions, the Setra Systems Multi-Sense® Model 231RS offers four unidirectional and bi-directional switch selectable pressure ranges.  Each unit also features field-selectable output choices of true 4-20 mA, 0 to 5, 1 to 5, and 0 to 10 VDC, as well as push-button zero and remote zero capabilities and a jumper-selectable port swap. Units are both CE marked and RoHS compliant, and feature an all-cast aluminum construction with NEMA4 rated housings. An optional LCD is also available for greater readability of measured values.

The remote sensing capabilities of the Setra Systems Model 231RS are designed to significantly reduce customer labor and materials costs, as well as setup time. The sensors are installed directly into the pipe, with electrical connection made between the remote sensors and Model 231RS main housing via cables or conduit, reducing labor costs by an estimated 33%. Measurement startup time is also reduced, as purging air out of the lines is no longer applicable or necessary. In addition, immediate cost savings may be realized, as the use of copper piping to connect the traditional pressure transducer to the pipe is no longer necessary.  These combined efficiencies result in a lower total cost of ownership, and makes the Model 231RS ideal for use as a cost-effective drop-in replacement for traditional wet-to-wet differential pressure sensing technologies. This allows for the optimization of even the most demanding applications, including energy systems management, process control, liquid or gas flow measurement, and pressurized vessel liquid level measurements.

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
