Power supply app and web interactive product selector launched

XP Power today announced two new online product selection tools for engineers that ease the process of choosing a power supply. Available from the XP Power web site, http://www.xppower.com, the product selector allows searching by product type, (AC-DC or DC-DC), or by application type such as healthcare, industrial, technology, defense & avionics and LED lighting.  Simple search parameters such as power rating, input voltage, output voltage(s) and mechanical format provide a quick and straightforward method of finding the ideal power supply from a choice of over 2,000 models in XP Power’s product line-up. It is also possible to search products specifically classified as green power. Once your search has yielded results you can then simply select the model number that suits your specific requirements in order to obtain full product data, download the datasheet, or check stock with element14 / Newark.

The second selection tool now available is a free dedicated app for use on Apple® iOS® or Android™-based smartphones and devices. The app allows designers and engineers to quickly and effortlessly find the best XP Power products for their specific application and complements the website product selector.

The interactive phone app provides immediate access to over 2000 models within XP Power’s product range by the simple selection of key design parameters, offering exact match or closest fit solutions. Once the suitable power supply is chosen, the engineer has the opportunity to view detailed product datasheets, share product information via email, create a bill of materials, or email the BOM for a quote, leadtimes, or further information. The app also enables you to find your closest XP office or distributor and also check stock or order parts from the element14 / Newark website.

The web product selection is available here: http://www.xppower.com/page.php?pagename=Selector&lang=EN

The interactive smartphone application can be downloaded from iTunes® http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/xp-power/id496842195?mt=8 and the Android Marketplace here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.productworld.xppower
