Green Hills Software to Exhibit at the DistribuTECH Conference 2012 in San Antonio, TX

SANTA BARBARA, CA — January 17, 2012 — Green Hills Software, the largest independent vendor of embedded software solutions, will demonstrate its latest technology at DistribuTECH Conference, January 24 – 26, 2012, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, San Antonio, Texas, booth #1745.
The company will be demonstrating its Platform for Smart Energy, a comprehensive, scalable solution for the design, construction, and deployment of secure, resilient, Smart Energy devices from small-footprint, high-performance devices to robust and secure utility applications.  On display:

  • Green Hills Platform for Smart Energy – including the ISS Security Protocol Toolkits, MULTI® integrated development environment, INTEGRITY® and μ-velOSity™ real-time operating system technology
  • One of the world’s most advanced Smart Meters from EIG
  • A dual-persona tablet-based secure home energy console

Green Hills Software Trusted Access to Smart Energy Devices

Green Hills Trusted Access to Smart Energy Devices will be demonstrated on a Freescale i.MX trusted dual-persona tablet platform. Leveraging Green Hills certified INTEGRITY technology, the microkernel Type-1 hypervisor – Multivisor – enables tablets to access sensitive information and networks without compromising availability, privacy, performance, and data integrity relative to use of multimedia, social, and Internet applications. INTEGRITY Multivisor enforces high robustness isolation between a personal Android persona and a company/IT-managed Android persona. This demonstration will exhibit connectivity between the tablet-based home energy console and the EIG Smart Meter.

INTEGRITY Security Services (ISS) High Assurance Security

At the core of these demonstrations is the INTEGRITY Security Services (ISS)’s Device Lifecycle Management (DLM) solution and ISS’s Security Toolkits – including its FIPS 140-2 validated Crypto library. Green Hills Software will discuss how these technologies have been integrated into the Platform for Smart Energy, providing small footprint, high performance, and security to smart grid devices.

Advanced Trace-Capable Debugging

High quality, feature rich, unobtrusive debugging tools dramatically reduce time-to-market and improve device quality. Green Hills will demonstrate its industry-leading MULTI tools suite, best-in-class compilers, source-level and trace-aware debuggers, the latest in trace probe solutions, along with its lightweight µ-velOSity real-time microkernel – all integrated and running on Freescale’s ARM®-based Kinetis™ K60 SoC.
