EDA Solutions Announces Mixed-Signal ASIC Design Workshops for Incentia and Tanner EDA Design Tools in Germany, Belgium and UK

EDA Solutions, sole representative in Europe for Tanner EDA and Incentia Design Systems, today announced a series of workshops in Germany, Belgium and the UK, on mixed-signal ASIC design, based on advanced ASIC design tools from Incentia and Tanner.

Hosted by EDA Solutions, in conjunction with Europractice IC Services, a leading European provider of ASIC prototyping and small-volume IC production services, the dates and locations of the workshops are:

  • October 18/19 – Fraunhofer IIS, Erlangen, Germany
  • October 25/26 – IMEC, Leuven, Belgium
  • November 8/9 – STFC/RAL, Didcot, near Oxford, UK

The first day of each event will comprise presentations and workshops, and the second day will deliver hands-on training using Europractice design kits. The first day only is available to participants at €50. For both days, the cost is €100 (or €50 for both days for Europractice members).

Further information on the workshops, and participant sign-up, is available at: www.eda-solutions.com/email/show/europractice2011.php

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
