IAR Systems delivers hardware debug integration for TMS570 family

Uppsala, Sweden—August 23, 2011— IAR Systems today announced XDS100v2 emulator debug support for Texas Instruments’ TMS570 microcontroller family in IAR Embedded Workbench. The XDS100v2 integration enables software applications to be debugged on hardware in real-time using the IAR C-SPY debugger.

The ARM Cortex-R4F based TMS570 family is intended for safety critical transportation applications requiring high performance, including automotive chassis and stability control, electric power steering, hybrid and electric vehicles, aerospace, railway communications, and off-road vehicle engine control.

IAR Embedded Workbench is a set of reliable and powerful C and C++ tools for building and debugging embedded system software for embedded systems. It has long been popular for the development of high integrity and safety-critical applications, due to its track record of performance and reliability. This reputation is reinforced by a high level of technical support and services that targets the specific needs of these important applications.

Support for XDS100v2 is included in IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM version 6.21, available now.
