Avnet Express Turns Stock to Connector Assemblies in Less Than a Week

PHOENIX—August 15, 2011 — Combining a robust inventory of more than five million SKUs and unmatched physical value-add services, Avnet Express, the e-Commerce engine for Avnet Electronics Marketing, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), is giving online customers the ability to view stock available to buildconnector assemblies. Customers who purchase connector assemblies on www.avnetexpress.com can now see what Avnet can build with the individual components on-hand – with assembly times ranging from just three to five days.

In the last year alone, Avnet’s ability to meet customer specifications of varying levels yielded more than six million flat flex assemblies, flat ribbon cable connector assemblies and harness assemblies. Based on customer specifications, Avnet’s dedicated production cell can provide cable assemblies for high-reliability applications in military, aerospace, medical and other applications.

“Providing our customers with the option to see our stock-to-build capabilities further demonstrates the value Avnet brings to our customers,” said Beth Ely, vice president of Avnet Express. “Now, not only can our customers benefit from our vast in-stock inventory, they can take advantage of our expertise in building connector assemblies. This visibility will give our customers a better way to manage their supply chain – and ultimately accelerate their time-to-market.”

Designing Robust 5G Power Amplifiers for the Real World

Sponsored by Keysight

Simulating 5G power amplifier (PA) designs at the component and system levels with authentic modulation and high-fidelity behavioral models increases predictability, lowers risk, and shrinks schedules. Simulation software enables multi-technology layout and multi-domain analysis, evaluating the impacts of 5G PA design choices while delivering accurate results in a single virtual workspace. This application note delves into how authentic modulation enhances predictability and performance in 5G millimeter-wave systems.
