Braunschweig, Germany – October6th 2010. Last week the 4th Symtavision NewsConference on Timing Analysis took place in Braunschweig. More than 100 delegates attended the annual event provided by Symtavision on September 29 and 30. With participants from all over Europe as well as Japan, Korea and Brasil this was in fact a world-wide meeting of leading timing experts from the automotive and avionics industry.

“An Astonishing high bandwidth of participants! This conference could become THE Automotive Network Congress in the future”, one of the attendees stated.

The conference started with a Technical Day in two parallel tracks, one research track organized by the Institute of Computer and Network Engineering at Braunschweig University, and one practice track provided by Symtavision. Main topics here where AUTOSAR, Multi-Core- and Network-Design.

The next day was dedicated to industrial speakers, including presentations from BMW, Daimler, Denso, Embraer, Infineon and Volkswagen, who gave some project insights into their timing analysis topics. Dr. Kai Richter, CTO at Symtavision, presented the future product strategy and roadmap. Finally Prof. Dr. Ernst from the Institute of Computer and Network Engineering at Braunschweig University provided a visionary talk about “Mastering Mixed Criticality – A Growing Challenge in Embedded Systems Integration”.

Outside the plenum Symtavision and their partners Gliwa and AbsInt from the Real-time Experts as well as Elektrobit and aquintos were ready for product presentations and detailed discussions.

“We are very pleased with the feed-back of the conference attendees”, said Dr. Marek Jersak, CEO at Symtavision. “The increasing number of delegates over the last years and the extremely positive rating of the industrial presentations assures us, that we are in a leading position with our timing and scheduling analysis and optimization approach in the Embedded industry.”
