‘as·phyx·i·a’, a dance performance captured with a kinect sensor and visualized with 3D software

V03-3.jpg

A dancer’s moving form is digitally rendered in a frenetic cloud of moving points and lines in the captivating experimental project as·phyx·i·a. The dancer’s movements were captured by a Kinect motion controller and the data was then visualized through 3D software (the process is documented in this making-of video).as·phyx·i·a was created by music producer Maria Takeuchi in collaboration with director Frederico Phillips. The performance was by Shiho Tanaka.

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
