An electric knife that slices and toasts bread at the same time

1.jpg

We have featured the crazy inventions of Colin Furze before, like his huge butt-shaped machine that produces the world’s loudest farting sound and his own retractable Wolverine claws.

His newest invention is the ‘FurzoToasto’, a bread knife that slices and toasts at the same time. His creation uses a microwave transformer to heat the blade, so that the bread surface it touches becomes toast. Furze also demonstrates how to construct the device in a separate video.

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
