Full 3M Multi-Touch Displays on Show at Electronica 2010

Bracknell, UK, 4 October 2010 – 3M Touch Systems, a division of diversified technology company 3M, will demonstrate its revolutionary 22-inch Multi-Touch Display in Hall B3, Booth 314, at Electronica 2010, 9-12 November, New Munich Trade Fair. Featuring ultra-fast, 20-plus finger multi-touch input and a high-definition, wide viewing-angle LCD, the Multi-Touch Display M2256PW from 3M delivers performance designed to exceed the requirements of the most demanding professional applications, including CAD, digital signage, computer gaming, security monitoring systems, education, training and telepresence.

Based on Projected Capacitive Technology (3M PCT) from 3M, the Multi-Touch Display M2256PW offers application developers full multi-touch capabilities with less than 6 millisecond response time for 20-plus simultaneous touches. This means fast, accurate touch response over the entire touch surface.

Other industry-standard surface capacitive products to be exhibited on the 3M stand include: MicroTouch System SCT3250EX (15” to 32” displays), MicroTouch System SCT7650EX (vandal-prone and rugged applications), and MicroTouch System MCT3250TX (tactile touch applications). These products are supported by MicroTouch Electronics and MicroTouch Software (touch drivers and utilities). Also available is the MicroTouch System DST2270DX (dispersive signal technology for 32” to 46” displays) and a line of MicroTouch-brand purpose-built and chassis/kiosk surface capacitive displays.

The 3M Touch Systems division provides innovative touch screen technology products to customers worldwide under the 3M and MicroTouch brands. Popular single touch, gesture touch and multi-touch applications include casino gaming, retail point of sale, foodservice, hospitality, self-service, industrial, healthcare and interactive digital signage. Want early design analysis without simulation?

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Traditional verification methods are failing today's complex IC designs, which require a proactive, early-stage analysis approach. A shift-left methodology addresses IP block integration challenges and the limitations of traditional simulation and ERC tools. Insight Analyzer detects hard-to-find leakage issues across power domains, enabling early analysis without full simulation. Identify inefficiencies earlier to reduce rework, improve reliability, and enhance power performance.
