Visit Actel at RADECS 2010

Eurotech Launches Vector, a Low Power Single Board Computer Based on Intel® Atom™ Z5xx Processor

COLUMBIA, Md., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ — Eurotech, a leading supplier of embedded technologies, products, and systems, announces today the launch of the Vector, a full-featured, low power, EPIC single board computer (SBC) based on the Intel Atom Z5xx processor.  At under 7W of power consumption and with no fans required, Vector delivers the multimedia and I/O performance of the Intel Atom Z5xx processor family while minimizing power and footprint.  The flexibility and performance capabilities of the Eurotech Vector SBC meet requirements for applications in transportation, industrial, medical, and defense markets.

Vector is available in an EPIC form factor of 4.5 x 6.5 inches.  It offers dual CAN interfaces, serial ports, high speed USB, and Gigabit Ethernet.  Multimedia capabilities include dual display support, VGA and LVDS interfaces, touchscreen and backlight.  Vector offers flexibility for the OEM developer providing a wide range power supply unit of 7 to 25 VDC, and expansion options such as MiniPCI Express, Serial ATA, Solid State Disk, and SecureDigital or CompactFlash®  support.  Any of these options can be used as memory or boot options for optimal flexibility in configuration schemes.  Vector supports both commercial and industrial temperatures configurations.
