RoHS Compliant Miniature SMD-Converters for +100°C!

DREIEICH, GERMANY – February 9, 2010
The new miniature SMD-Converters RSx/R2x from RECOM offer 1 resp. 2 Watts power rating, are RoHS6/6 compliant and therefore absolutely lead-free. They can operate at ambient temperatures up to +100°C with convection cooling and without derating, are EN60601 and UL60950 certified and pin compatible with industry standard converters. Their unusual “Enclosed Open Frame” Design has been laid out for fully automatic manufacturing processes. Temperatures of +245°C, as are usual during vapor soldering, and are handled without problems.

The new RxS/RxD converters are optionally insulated to 3kVDC and have rated voltages between 3.3V and 24V. Converters with dual outputs – the “D-Version” – are rated up to 48V. Their low weight of only 1 gram makes them highly resistant against shock and vibration. An optimized lay-out guarantees low EMC-Radiation, and they meet EN5502 Class A without external components. EN5502 Class B requires components be only half the size of previous models and 40% cheaper.

Technical Data:

Quickly and accurately identify inter-domain leakage issues in IC designs

Sponsored by Siemens Digital Industries Software

Power domain leakage is a major IC reliability issue, often missed by traditional tools. This white paper describes challenges of identifying leakage, types of false results, and presents Siemens EDA’s Insight Analyzer. The tool proactively finds true leakage paths, filters out false positives, and helps circuit designers quickly fix risks—enabling more robust, reliable chip designs. With detailed, context-aware analysis, designers save time and improve silicon quality.
