QuickLogic Showcases Innovative CSSP-Enabled Handset and Mobile CE Products at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas

SUNNYVALE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Demonstrating its continued commitment to the mobile consumer electronics market, QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK) is showcasing a host of next-generation handheld and mobile consumer electronics (CE) devices based on QuickLogic’s Customer Specific Standard Product (CSSP) solutions during the CES show in Las Vegas, January 7-10, 2010. Among the technologies on display is the Visual Enhancement Engine (VEE™) and Display Power Optimizer (DPO) technology. QuickLogic’s VEE and DPO technologies bring a TV-quality visual experience to mobile devices with either OLED or TFT LCD displays while significantly reducing power consumption of the display subsystem. The showcase theme: “Seeing is Believing.”

CES Featured Demos

A visit to the private hospitality suite will reveal how QuickLogic’s CSSP solutions are being deployed in the following next-generation products:

  • Mobile Internet Devices, Smartbooks, Netbooks and Smartphones implemented with QuickLogic’s 2nd generation VEE technology.
  • 3G USB Data Cards from multiple OEMs using CSSPs that integrate High Speed USB 2.0 and SD/eMMC host controllers.
  • Enterprise POS systems that showcase the extent of QuickLogic’s library of low power Proven System Blocks, including USB 2.0 OTG with PHY, SD/eMMC host controllers, and Secure Access Module capability.

Each product will have one or more QuickLogic CSSPs inside, enabling visitors to see for themselves the benefits of the CSSP design approach in solving interface, storage, and display design challenges. Visitors will also be able to view CSSPs that increase sideloading performance, as well as personally experience the enhanced image quality and dramatic power savings achieved using QuickLogic’s revolutionary VEE and DPO technologies.
