Making Things Real: Michael Lamp, Avnet technical sales manager, will host a workshop at 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 2. Participants will learn how to leverage the Visible Things™ platform – a flexible, comprehensive evaluation and development platform that helps IoT designers get to market faster.

Leveraging Cellular to Connect Sensors to the Cloud: Fred Kellerman, Avnet senior technical marketing engineer, will host a workshop at 1:45 p.m. on Nov. 2. Participants will learn how to use Avnet’s AT&T Cellular IoT Starter Kit, a small, low-cost kit, to connect remote embedded devices and sensors to the internet.

Securing IoT Devices with Measured Boot and Remote Attestation: Tom Curran, Avnet senior technical marketing engineer, will cohost a workshop at 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 3. Participants will learn how to build a secure foundation into their industrial IoT devices by implementing a Measured Boot to validate software and a Remote Attestation Server operation.

TECHNOLOGY PREVIEW:

Technical experts from Avnet will preview Avnet’s new add-on module and reference design for the MicroZed Industrial IoT Kit. This low-cost security peripheral module (Pmod) and downloadable reference design enable Trusted Platform Module (TPM) security capabilities for root of trust platform integrity, remote attestation and cryptographic services often required by Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications, including factory automation, smart cities, smart grid and heath care.

BOOTH DEMONSTRATIONS:

At the Avnet booth #604, there will be several Designed by Avnet solutions on display. These include:

Mars Rover Connected Telemetry Simulation: Avnet’s technical experts will show how sensors from NXP and an Avnet-designed wireless module based on Broadcom technology can be connected to IBM Bluemix Cloud to capture physical telemetry in a simulated Mars rover moving across a modeled Mars landscape. They can also view live data and real-time analytics.

BOOTH DEMONSTRATIONS:

At the Avnet booth #604, there will be several Designed by Avnet solutions on display. These include:
