Baikal Electronics Selects Synopsys Solutions to Accelerate the Design and Verification of Their Advanced SoCs

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNPS) today announced that Baikal Electronics, a Russian semiconductor company, has selected Synopsys’ broad portfolio of IP, system-on-chip (SoC) architecture design and analysis tools and its Galaxy Design Platform, as well as its functional verification products for developing its SoC designs. The breadth of solutions adopted by Baikal Electronics include Synopsys DesignWare® IP, the Platform Architect tool with multicore optimization technology for architecture design and analysis, the Design Compiler®tool for synthesis, the IC Compiler product for place and route, IC Validator for physical verification, the StarRC tool for extraction, the PrimeTime®solution for static timing analysis and Synopsys Verification IP (VIP) and VCS® technology for functional verification. After a comprehensive evaluation of available solutions, Baikal Electronics chose to standardize on Synopsys’ IP tools and design flow, which resulted in improved design efficiency.
