Point2 Technology Joins Invite-Only Open Compute Project Startup Program

Company’s founder and CEO, Sean Park, to speak at next month’s OCP APAC Summit

SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 20, 2024 – Point2 Technology, a leading provider of ultra-low-power, low-latency mixed-signal SoC solutions for multi-terabit interconnect, today announced its membership in the Open Compute Project (OCP) Startup Program. This invite-only tier is for innovative hardware and software startups focused on open-source designs for hyperscale data center operators. The OCP Startup Program offers valuable networking opportunities, expert feedback, mentorship, and participation in OCP events.

As part of this new membership, Sean Park, founder and CEO of Point2, is speaking at next month’s OCP APAC Summit in Suwon, South Korea. Sean’s session, “e-Tube – Breaking Copper & Optical Barriers in Terabit Interconnect,” will provide a technical overview of e-Tube technology and outline its profound impact on the future in-rack switch-to-accelerator interconnect and accelerator-to-accelerator compute fabric architecture. More information on the event is available here.

“Point2 Technology was invited to participate in the exclusive OCP Startup Program because of our shared alignment with OCP’s open source mission and unwavering commitment to building the industry’s most energy-efficient interconnects,” said Sean Park, CEO of Point2. “Being part of the OCP community allows us to collaborate with startups, hyperscalers, research, academia, and investors, validating our efforts in overcoming the power, latency, reach, and cost challenges of traditional interconnects. e-Tube is the key to enabling terabit-speed deployments in AI/ML data centers.”

OCP’s exclusive Startup Program allows Point2 to connect to and engage with OCP members in different markets and industries, unlocking new business opportunities.
