RS Components announces availability of Vishay series of ceramic capacitors for automotive specifications

AY1 series of high-reliability safety capacitors specified to meet AEC-Q200 for Class Y1 AC-line filtering and electric vehicle applications

LONDON, UK, 11 April 2019 – RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), a global multi-channel provider of industrial and electronic products and solutions, is now stocking a new range of automotive-grade AC-line-rated ceramic disc capacitors, manufactured by Vishay.

The high-reliability radial-mounting AY1 series is qualified to AEC-Q200, meeting the stringent demands for use in automotive. The series has been tested to withstand the rigours of the 85 / 85 / 1000 h test (85 °C / 85 % relative humidity for 1000 hours), as well as passing 1000 temperature cycles from –55 to +125 °C.
