Flex Power Modules adds new variants to popular BMR491 quarter-brick DC/DC range

• High peak power variant up to 2450 W
• Lower profile variant for height restricted applications
• New variants include ‘Hybrid Regulated Ratio’ regulation

Flex Power Modules has expanded its BMR491 range of digital, quarter-brick DC/DC converters with 2 new variants. Power ratings now available are 1400 W continuous / 2400 W peak (BMR4912307/856), and 1540 W continuous / 2450 W peak (BMR4913208/857).

The new variants all feature the Flex Power Modules’ ‘Hybrid Regulated Ratio (HRR)’ technique where output voltages vary in a ratio to the input voltage but not with load current, optimizing efficiency and EMI filtering. The modules can switch … Read More → "Flex Power Modules adds new variants to popular BMR491 quarter-brick DC/DC range"

STMicroelectronics reveals 2.5V rad-hard digital-to-analog converter for next-generation satellite applications

Geneva, March 24, 2022 – The STMicroelectronics RHRDAC121 radiation-hardened digital-to-analog converter (DAC) operates down to 2.5V for use in modern, low-power system designs that older 3.3V parts cannot support.

Consuming just 0.6mW at its maximum speed and supply voltage, the 12-bit 1Msps successive-approximation register (SAR) DAC helps reduce size, weight, and … Read More → "STMicroelectronics reveals 2.5V rad-hard digital-to-analog converter for next-generation satellite applications"
