IAR Systems adds new functionality to development tool suite for Texas Instruments MSP430

Uppsala, Sweden—November 30, 2011—IAR Systems® today announced the availability of new functionality in IAR Embedded Workbench® for Texas Instruments’ microprocessor family MSP430. The new version adds several new features, among which are Position-independent code and read-only data (ROPI), and Multithread support.

Most applications are designed to be placed at a fixed position in memory. However, it is sometimes useful to instead decide at runtime where to place the application. When using the added functionality of Position-independent code and read-only data (ROPI) the compiler will generate code … Read More → "IAR Systems adds new functionality to development tool suite for Texas Instruments MSP430"

Touchstone Semiconductor Introduces the Tightest Offset, Low-Power Current-Sense Amplifiers

Milpitas, Calif. – Nov. 30, 2011 – Touchstone Semiconductor, a developer of high-performance analog integrated circuit solutions, today announced the TS1100 family of 1μA current-sense amplifiers that cut offset to 30µV, over 3X tighter than the closest competitor.  The tight offset allows users to not have to increase power consumption in order to achieve improved accuracy. This is something that cannot be done with any other low power current sense amplifier. The TS1100 is available in four gain options from 25V/V to 200V/V, so customers can choose the ideal gain option for their unique … Read More → "Touchstone Semiconductor Introduces the Tightest Offset, Low-Power Current-Sense Amplifiers"

New Power Integrity Advance module launched for CADSTAR 13.0

November 29, 2011 – Munich, Germany and Westford, MA, USA – Zuken today announces a new tool for ensuring correct behavior of power distribution systems embedded within CADSTAR design flow, called Power Integrity Advance.

Power Integrity Advance conducts EMC analysis and AC and DC power integrity analysis to help predict, analyze and control design issues that may cause problems later down the design process.

Jeroen Leinders, CADSTAR distribution manager, says: “With the number of pins on devices increasing to more than 1,000, and differing power … Read More → "New Power Integrity Advance module launched for CADSTAR 13.0"

Integrating models and code with new Eclipse plugin
