Micro Crystal and Mouser Electronics Sign Global Agreement

Mouser to Stock Micro Crystal's RTC Modules and Eval Boards

June 6, 2017 — Micro Crystal is pleased to announce a global distribution agreeement with Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components.

Mouser is now stocking Micro Crystal’s Real-Time Clock modules, which combine a 32.768 kHz tuning fork crystal resonator with a CMOS-based oscillator and RTC integrated circuit, perfectly factory calibrated inside a miniature ceramic SMD package. Each module is designed to address the demand for high accuracy, temperature compensation, and ultra-low current consumption. The modules provide standard clock and calendar functions and are available in tolerances from 2ppm to 20ppm with options including I2C or SPI interface, alarm, interrupt, power management, RAM / EEPROM memory, extended operating temperature range up to 125 degrees Celsius, and AEC-Q200 automotive qualification. Mouser is also stocking evaluation boards, which include corresponding RTC modules for facilitated evaluation.

Mouser is also offering Micro Crystal’s low-power 32.768 kHz and 100 kHz oscillators, which integrate a tuning fork crystal resonator in ceramic packages as small as 2.0 mm x 1.2 mm.

Secure Authentication ICs for Disposable and Accessory Ecosystems
Sponsored by Mouser Electronics and Microchip
Secure authentication for disposable and accessory ecosystems is a critical element for many embedded systems today. In this episode of Chalk Talk, Amelia Dalton and Xavier Bignalet from Microchip discuss the benefits of Microchip’s Trust Platform design suite and how it can provide the security you need for your next embedded design. They investigate the value of symmetric authentication and asymmetric authentication and the roles that parasitic power and package size play in these kinds of designs.
