NUREMBERG, GERMANY – March 10, 2026 – At Embedded World, MediaTek unveiled a range of new Genio platforms ideal for powering a wide variety of IoT products and applications: MediaTek Genio Pro, Genio 420 and Genio 360. The Genio Pro series is MediaTek’s premium offering for high-performance IoT and embedded offerings, while Genio 420 and Genio 360 bring efficient system-level edge AI performance to smart home, retail, industrial, and commercial IoT devices.
With its impressive AI, multimedia, and display capabilities, along with rich OS support, Genio Pro enables OEMs to develop the next generation of autonomous mobile robotics, commercial drones, edge AI devices, machine vision systems, and transportation and logistics platforms.

Built on a leading-edge TSMC 3nm process, Genio Pro integrates an all big-core Arm v9.2 configuration with one Arm Cortex-X925, three Cortex-X4, and four Cortex-A720 cores. This CPU architecture supports up to 260K DMIPS of compute performance for advanced applications. The Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU offers 3.1 TFLOPS of compute and graphics performance.
Genio Pro has an 8th generation MediaTek NPU that supports over 50 TOPS of system-level generative AI acceleration, with NeuroPilot framework to support PyTorch, ONNX runtime and TFLite (LiteRT), offering unrivaled acceleration for traditional AI tasks such as machine vision and object classification. For generative AI applications, the platform supports token generation rates of up to 23 tokens per second for large language models (LLMs) as large as 7B parameters.
To enable rich camera sensor fusion for advanced robotics and drone applications, Genio Pro supports up to 16 cameras. Additionally, the platform’s rich user interfaces are supported by up to three 4K displays. To meet the needs of different target applications and markets, Genio Pro supports a rich selection of Linux operating systems, including Yocto, Debian and Ubuntu distributions. The platform also supports the open-source ROS 2 (Robot Operating System) framework to help streamline the development of robotics applications.
Additional features of the Genio Pro platform include:
- Discrete 64-bit LPDDR5x memory at up to 8533Mbps, allowing for easier manufacturability in advanced IoT applications
- 8K30 multi-format video encode/decode
- Support for two 4K30 + eight FHD30 cameras simultaneously or up to 16 at FHD30 resolution via virtual channels
- Rich I/O support (3xPCIe Gen 4, 3xUSB 2.0, 1xUSB 3.2 Gen 2, and 2×2.5GbE MAC)
- Industrial temperature range of (-40°C to +105°C Tj)
MediaTek has continued to expand its Genio family to support a wide variety of IoT applications and device tiers. The new Genio 420 offers 16GB of LPDDR5X memory to address industry bill of materials cost challenges. This 6nm IoT platform delivers 7.2 TOPS of system-level AI acceleration and offers OEMs the flexibility to incorporate different kinds of multimedia designs, supporting dual 2.5K60 displays or one display with UW5K60 or 4K60. Genio 420 is pin-to-pin compatible with Genio 720 and Genio 520, allowing OEMs to scale designs across platforms.
Additionally, MediaTek’s Genio 360 and 360P brings impressive generative AI processing and big core compute to value-tier devices. Genio 360 delivers 6 TOPS of system-level AI performance, while Genio 360P delivers 8.5 TOPS of system-level AI performance, enabling both platforms to support generative AI processing at the edge for models with up to two billion parameters. The Genio 360 series supports single 4K60 or dual FHD60 displays with advanced video encoding/decoding and supports 8GB of LP4X-3733 memory.
