New DC:DC LED Drivers from Ideal Power

Power conversion specialists Ideal Power announce the availability of 2 high power, high efficiency DC:DC converters for domestic, industrial, architectural and automotive LED lighting systems.

The 36KC24H and 36KC24W series of DC:DC LED Drivers are step-down constant current sources designed for driving high power LEDs. They feature high efficiency operation up to 96% and wide input voltage range from 5.5 to 48VDC making them suitable for systems operating from 12V, 24V and 36V at up to loads of 25W

Both models have a high operating temperature, PWM and analogue dimming controls and remote ON/OFF. Typical applications include LED illumination in areas such as decorative, landscape, backlighting, commercial, street, domestic automotive lighting and special control lights.

Main features of the LED Drivers include, high power output current  of 1,000 to 1,200mA, efficiency up to 96%, ultra-wide input and output voltage range, constant current mode, PWM and analogue dimming, remote ON/OFF, low ripple and noise, continuous short circuit protection and meet EN55015 without external circuitry

The 36KC24H is a PCB mounting package while the 36KC24W series is connected via output leads offering more flexible mounting options and is waterproof to IP67.

Jon Vallis, Sales Manager at Ideal Power, comments. “The LED lighting market continues to grow rapidly and our two new DC:DC LED drivers offer very compact and high efficiency power conversion solutions with flexible mounting options”
