Quintic to Demonstrate the Industry’s Top Performance for Bluetooth Smart Wearable Platforms at CES

Las Vegas, NV. – CES – Jan. 7, 2014 – Quintic, the leading developer of integrated nano-power wearable platforms, is demonstrating its wearable platform’s superior capabilities at CES. The demonstrations will highlight Quintic’s new 9020 Bluetooth Smart wearable platform and will showcase some enhanced wearable applications driven by synergistic co-developments with Quintic’s reference design partner, Linear Dimensions Semiconductor. The 9020 provides the industry’s lowest power consumption, highest wireless performance, and best processing capabilities.

The 9020 is Quintic’s first product from its wearable platform roadmap. The 9020,as well as Quintic’s proceeding products, are designed specifically for the wearable technology market. Quintic’s wearable platform roadmap provides the best power consumption along with best performance on the market; enabling more intelligence in wearable devices with more sophisticated sensor fusion algorithm. Quintic’s technology is the ideal platform for integration in smart watches, health care devices, fitness bands and devices, and sports apparel.

At CES, Quintic will have two locations, a private suite at the Mirage Hotel and Casino, and the show floor of LVCC in South Hall 2 in the Digital Health/Fitness Tech Zone; Linear Dimensions booth #25530. In its suite at the Mirage Hotel and Casino Quintic will have the following demonstrations:

  • 9020 Power consumption 8mA peak and wireless performance demo –95dBm Rx sensitivity
  • 9020 master mode support with 8 links running on a watch form factor
  • 9020 as a single chip activity tracker platform running sensor fusion
  • Audio over Bluetooth smart and Over-The-Air update with 9020’s high throughout capability

At the booth in the Digital Health/Fitness Tech Zone, Quintic and Linear Dimensions will demonstrate Bluetooth Smart Heart Rate/ECG monitor and EEG monitor reference designs leveraging the low power and superior wireless performance of the 9020.  Linear Dimensions brings a unique approach to solving the challenges in capturing physiological data such as heart rate, ECG and EEG.  Together with Quintic’s 9020 Bluetooth Smart wearable platform, Linear Dimensions’ technology  allows wearable devices to capture more useful information accurately and continuously with low power consumption.

“Quintic has an elegant solution with ultra-low power radio and powerful MCU integrated providing a flexible and efficient wearable platform, which syncs up nicely with our ultra-low current Analog-Front-Ends and powerful algorithms to capture physiological data from the body and transmit to Smartphone for Quantified-Self applications.  Our reference module design with Quintic can enable Bluetooth Smart wearable OEMs with the added feature of physiological monitoring at a very low-power consumption,” says Mike Ward, Sr. VP Sales and Marketing for Linear Dimensions.

Companies, engineers, and developers are invited to see these demonstrations.  Contact Quintic at inquiry@quinticcorp.com to schedule an appointment.
