PHOENIX— May 1, 2013 — If you missed seeing Avnet Electronics Marketing at Design West or the Embedded Vision Summit in San Jose, you are in luck. Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT) is bringing you our show highlights. You can now access short video clips of Avnet’s demonstrations from both shows.
At Design West, the Embedded Software Store showcased a number of software suppliers whose products are sold in the store. The Embedded Software Store, developed jointly by Avnet Electronics Marketing and ARM, is an online information and e-Commerce-based website for the embedded design community. Avnet’s demonstration of supplier Interniche’s Low-Cost Network Libraries offers designers a visual of system statistics and HTML pages served up with Interniche’s HTTP server using embedded libraries for Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, Hypertext Transfer Protocol server and File Transfer Protocol for the ST Microelectronics STM32F family of 32-bit flash microcontrollers based on the ARM Cortex M processor.
At the Embedded Vision Summit, Avnet featured real-world applications of two leading design boards. In “Finding Live Video”, featuring the Analog Devices Blackfin® Embedded Vision starter kit, designers can see the BF609’s Vision Pipelined Processor (VPP) in a vision application which counts the dots on dice in real time. In“Your Programmable SOC Vision Platform”, featuring the Xilinx Zynq™-7000 All Programmable SoC, users can see OpenCV functions accelerated for a 1080P60 camera on ZedBoard™.
