Pittsford, NY: Saelig Company, Inc. (www.saelig.com) announces the availability of the iDVM, the world`s first iPhone-enabled multimeter that wirelessly connects to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, allowing users to easily acquire, visualize, and share electrical measurements. The iDVMapp, with its familiar appearance of a standard digital voltmeter, can be downloaded free from the Apple App Store.
The iDVM allows a user to log data over an extended period of time using an iPhone or iPad as an electrically isolated storage device. Service engineers could use the iDVMto collect data and store it in a report for submission to clients, or retain the data on the voltmeter for their own records. Using the GeoTag feature of the iPhone or iPad, engineers can even identify their location as part of the data.
The iDVM is the only digital multimeter available that works with Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad products. This unique voltmeter measures voltage, current, and resistance. The iDVM wirelessly links to the Apple devices to allow the easy-use Apple interface as an interface to the electrical measurement acquisition. Users can now acquire data, save it, email it, post it to a web server, or display it for further visualization. Using the iOS integrated speech function, the iDVM can even “speak” the measurement through the iPhone/iPad integrated speaker or earphones. Apple’s user interface allows you to pinch, pan, zoom, and scroll data in a familiar way. iDVM features internal rechargeable batteries for additional economy. The iDVM is an ideal solution for making isolated measurements at up to 30 meters.
