Jedat enters the US market with a family of new OA-based Analog Mixed Signal (AMS) Layout Design Tools

Chuo-ku, Tokyo, May 31, 2012 Jedat Inc. (Jasdaq:3841), a leading developer of high-performance analog and mixed signal design automation software for integrated (IC) manufacturers, announced today it will be exhibiting at the Design Automation Conference (DAC) 2012 in San Francisco and will be demonstrating its new family of mixed-signal layout and design analysis tools in booth #2824

Jedat’s complete line of tools, known as the Alpha-SX custom design/verification series, has enabled major Japanese semiconductor companies, automotive companies, and design centers to reduce the layout design time by 20% to 33%. Jedat is now offering their proven analog mixed-signal technology to the US market in the Anchor series which is a part of the “Alpha-SX” custom design/verification series and is fully OA – compliant.

Mixed-Signal Design Tools

The Anchor series reduces design time and re-spin, improves quality with automatic floorplan, improves accuracy in electrical analysis, and supports design constraint checks. It also operates in OA environments, so customers do not need to change their current design flows and environments. The product line includes:

• Analog auto floorplanner

• EM/IR drop for power device and analog LSI

• Design constraints checker

• Spice Waveform analyzer

New US Market Focus

“Jedat is a well-established electronic design automation tool developer for over 20 years with major focus in the Japan and Asia Pacific markets. As the electronics market shifts from a PC-centric world to smart devices such as smart phones, tablets and eBooks, analog mixed signal designs are becoming more widespread and with increasingly stringent requirements, “said Shinichi Ishibashi, CEO and President of Jedat, Inc. “I believe this is the right time to showcase our products and technologies to the US customer base and solve some of the new design challenges presented by increasing complexity of mixed analog and digital IC designs.”

About Jedat, Inc.

Jedat offers the custom LSI design environment, “Alpha-SX series” that automates custom LSI design such as analog LSI, power device, LCD driver and memory. With the floorplan function (hierarchical operation, pin assignment, power supply and bus routing, etc.) and the automatic placement and routing tool for custom layout, Alpha-SX has brought significant improvement to the area where automation was previously difficult. Individual point tools are integrated in a constraint driven environment, and providing results via accumulation and reuse of design know-how. Distribution partners are located in Seoul (Korea), Beijing and Shanghai (China), Hsinchu (Taiwan) and the U.S. West Coast. These partners provide local engineering, applications and sales support in their respective regions.
