Cliff Electronics Adds Conductive Control Knobs to Growing Product Range

CLIFF Electronics, leaders in the design, development and manufacture of components and connectors for audio, engineering, instrumentation, medical, lighting and vending applications announce the introduction of a range of electrically conductive rotary and slider knobs for use with motorised faders and controls now widely featured on audio and lighting desks

These innovative conductive control knobs are, as yet, not widely available and Cliff is happy to respond to growing customer demands. Made in Cliff’s UK factory these conductive slider and rotary control knobs are competitively priced and on short lead-times, available in black and chrome plated finishes with a wide range of styles and fittings for most standard shafts.

The continued increase in the use of rotary encoders has also prompted Cliff Electronics to introduce the new K18 encoder knob that features innovative dual finger dimples for fast and slow rotations. Available in a choice of black and grey standard colours with either 35 or 50gm weights for desired tactile ‘feel’ to suit the application the Cliff K18 encoder knob will fit a 6mm splined shaft.

Two further new knob product ranges complete this update of the Cliff range. The K88 series of skirt-less knobs which are suitable for rotary switches, potentiometers or encoders are also available in conductive plastic for motorised controllers. The K88 knob will fit 4, 6 and 6.35mm D shafts and 6 and 6.35mm splined shafts. They are available in a choice of black and grey standard colours with an opaque version for illuminated encoders. Coloured caps are available with or without a “marker line” in standard colours of black, white, red, grey, yellow, blue and green with clear or translucent caps available for use with illuminated encoders.

The Cliff Electronics KMK range of high quality finish anodised aluminium knobs complete the new introductions. Available in a choice of anodised black, silver and blue with either 10 or 25mm diameters the KMK knobs feature a machined aluminium shell on a plastic inner providing a high quality look and finish

Melvyn French, Sales Manager at Cliff Electronics comments; “We are continuing to see increasing demand for our whole control knob range as well as fast-growing new opportunities as new products are demanded of us by the marketplace. Manufacturing in our own UK factory not only ensures competitive pricing on even small quantities but also allows us to respond quickly to demands from our customers for new products, such as our range of conductive knobs. We are also very happy to discuss with customers how our extensive range of control knobs may be customised to meet specific requirements and we are pleased to offer a full custom knob manufacturing facility for customer’s specific requirements, including design and pre-production modelling.”

Applications for Cliff Electronics new control knobs include sound mixing, audio broadcast, lighting control desks and instrumentation panels.

Cliff Electronics also manufactures audio and power connectors, terminal posts, test leads and accessories, general industrial connectors, foot pedals, hand tools, production aids, lighting connectors, motors and fans. Cliff can also provide a wide range of leads including audio, instrument and power. For more information call +44 (0)1737 771375, email sales@CliffUK.co.uk or visitwww.cliffuk.co.uk
