Xilinx Appoints Prevas as Advanced Training Provider for Nordic Region

STOCKHOLM, Nov. 2, 2011 – Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) today announced that it has appointed technology specialist, Prevas AB, as its exclusive Authorized Training Provider (ATP) serving Xilinx customers throughout Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

The agreement makes Prevas the single point of reference for official Xilinx education in the Nordic area as part of Xilinx’s global network of appointed ATPs offering customer courses that address challenges such as FPGA design for performance, embedded hardware, software, connectivity and DSP. The courses use high-quality training materials developed by Xilinx and leverage the specialized knowledge of the training providers.

Prevas, an established company with working knowledge of the electronic design industry and processes, will help engineers improve their programmable logic skills to overcome challenges such as shrinking development cycles and market demands for increased product functionality and performance. The courses will be scheduled and held at Prevas’ offices located throughout the Nordic region, or at the customer’s premises, by senior developers with a high practical knowledge of embedded systems development. Customers can enroll in Xilinx Education Services directly with Prevas as their local ATP.

“Prevas, with its extensive background and leadership position in development of embedded systems, is the ideal partner to deliver Xilinx education courses going forward, as new generations of devices such as the Zynq™-7000 family with its integrated ARM® processor merge embedded software ever more closely with FPGA design,” said Michele Ricci, EMEA Training Manager at Xilinx.

“We look forward to a long term relationship with Xilinx and are committed to providing high quality programmable logic training to customers in the Nordic area,” said Jonas Mann, Business Area Manager at Prevas AB.
