NEW:UK 2011 – the UKs key trade event for the embedded and electronics industry opens its doors next week.

April 6th 2011 – Alongside The Gadget Show Live in 2011, National Electronics Week 2011 (12th – 13th April, NEC, Birmingham) will highlight the connection between today’s most wanted consumer electronics and the UK’s electronics industry, innovation, R&D and the supply-chain behind the best tech on display.

Commenting on the upcoming NEW:UK event, Claire Saunders – Event Director said “Over the last few months when speaking to our customers you can tell that there is a more upbeat, positive feeling from where we were this time last year. Our supporting exhibitors have worked very hard on promoting their presence as NEW:UK 2011 and this is showing with our pre-registration figures, they are higher than we have seen previously so we are very confident and look forward to a great event.”

“We are very pleased that the NEW:UK event is finally shaping up to what we wanted to achieve for the UK arena and they seem to be liking it, the UK deserves a strong event to champion this industry – if it can be done in Europe then why don’t the UK pull together and make it happen here? I have to thank our exhibitors for all of their support and to our NEW:UK Committee who have been extremely active in promoting this event.”

The first 5000 qualified pre-registered visitors for NEW:UK – www.new-expo.co.uk/register – will have a unique opportunity to attend the Gadget Show Live on the trade and press day 10:00 – 16:00 12th April 2011.

Dates for the 2012 event have already been announced and NEW:UK 2012 will sit along other manufacturing events at the NEC from 17th – 18th April 2012
