Tesla now building 10 Model S cars per week

Tesla likes to do things its own way.

So while the company still refuses to report sales in the usual manner–at the end of every month like every other automaker–it does release bits and pieces of data on its corporate publicity site.

On Thursday, Tesla Motors [NSDQ:TSLA] said that since June 22, when it started deliveries of its 2012 Model S, it has built 50 cars.

First high resolution view by Curiosity shows impressive 3-mile-tall Mount Sharp

Here you have it. It’s not the super-HD panoramic image that everyone is eagerly awaiting for, but this is the first high(ish) resolution image of the 3-mile-high Aeolis Mons, commonly known as Mount Sharp.

These photos are being taken not by the main cameras, but the hazard cams (Hazcams), which will help scientists to drive the rover.

Texting sheep collar protects ewe from wolf attack

It’s not easy being a wolf. You finally find a delicious sheep to eat, but before you can take a bite it sprays you with repellent chemicals and then texts a shepherd who comes and chases you off with a horrible big stick.

Tests have already been carried out on 12 unlucky sheep, who were scared by muzzled Czechoslovakian wolfdogs while their heartbeats were monitored, revealing that the grass-munching animals’ heart rates jumped significantly when stressed out.
