Global leaders in spectrum and Wi-Fi shaping a connected future at the DSA Global Summit 2025

Leading regulators, spectrum authorities, industry experts and academics covering the full spectrum of the Wi-Fi ecosystem have highlighted the real-world impacts of regulatory decisions at the DSA Global Summit 2025.

Hosted by the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance (DSA) between November 17-19, the event – which is co-located with the Wi-Fi World Congress 2025 in Dubai, UAE – has featured top officials from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Ofcom (UK), the U.S. National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), TDRA UAE, ICASA (South Africa), the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and more.

“This year’s Summit has boasted some of the most distinguished speakers ever to gather at a spectrum-related event,” said DSA President Martha Suarez. “We were delighted to have united decision-makers from the world’s major regulatory bodies, governments, academy and technology companies all striving to close the digital divide across the globe.”

Keynote speakers for the event included the ITU Head of Broadcasting Services Division Ilham Ghazi, Executive Director of Spectrum Affairs at TDRA UAE and Chairman of the Arab Spectrum Management Group Tariq Al Awadhi, Broadcom Director Product Marketing,  Technology Strategy Chris Szymanski, Ofcom Director of International Spectrum Policy Chris Woolford, NTIA Office of Spectrum Management Associate Administrator Charles Cooper, ICASA Councillor Charley Lewis, the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure Director Martijn Meijers, and the FCDO Head of Digital Development Alessandra Lustrati. The Master of Ceremony for the event has been Policy Impact Partners’ Jennifer McCarthy.

“The calibre of participants at this year’s Summit has reflected the urgency and importance of global collaboration in spectrum policy,” said McCarthy. “From the ITU to the NTIA, and academic pioneers to leading technology firms, every voice at the event is contributing to establishing an equitable, connected digital future.”

Complimenting the policy experts were leading voices from industry and research institutions, including Amazon, Cisco, Meta, Broadcom, HPE and the Wireless Broadband Alliance, alongside academic institutions King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Telkom University, Notre Dame University and the Technology Innovation Institute.

“Our keynote speakers were global leaders that represent nearly every major region of the world,” continued Suarez. “This means our event set the stage for unparalleled dialogue on the regulatory, technical and social aspects of effective spectrum management. We look forward to building on the success of this event going forward.”
