ADLINK, PrismTech, IBM and Intel Bring Predictive Maintenance and Edge Computing Discussion to East Coast

San Jose, CA, Oct 12, 2016 – ADLINK Technology, Inc., a leading global provider of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platforms, in collaboration with PrismTech (an ADLINK company), IBM and Intel, will host IoT Innovation Day at The Museum of Science in Boston, MA, on October 19th from 2–5 pm, with a cocktail reception to follow. Expanding on the inaugural IoT Innovation Day held earlier this year on the west coast, the companies will share strategies and key insights and lead open discussions targeted at helping businesses embrace the benefits of IIoT computing on the edge — paving the way for the shift from the connected device to the intelligent device.

The event will detail how edge computing is changing the way IoT systems are built, enabling a new generation of low latency, intelligent analytics that can process and act on intelligent device-generated data in real-time. Keynote speakers for IoT Innovation Day are:

  • Sam Ransbotham, Associate Professor in the Information Systems Dept. at the Carroll School of Management, Boston College, and guest editor for MIT Sloan Management Review’s Big Idea: Data & Analytics initiative

  • Preston Walters, Director of IoT and Analytics Business Development, Intel

  • Rob Risany, Global Innovation Executive, IBM Watson IoT

  • Toby McClean, Chief Solutions Architect, PrismTech

Presentation topics will address the challenges and benefits of managing data from distributed assets, disruptive IoT applications, and using edge computing in predictive maintenance solutions. In addition to the presentations and open discussions, IoT Innovation Day will also feature a panel discussion on use cases and partnering opportunities, as well as a live demo of ADLINK’s Vortex Edge PMQ predictive maintenance and quality platform, which features IBM PMQ business analytics software, Intel® technology and PrismTech’s Vortex Data Distribution Services (DDS).

The Museum of Science is located at 1 Science Park in Boston. For more information and to register for the event, please visit:
