Keysight Technologies to Demonstrate Industry’s First Integrated mmWave/802.11AD Design Validation, Manufacturing Solution

Highlights:

  • Wideband mmWave solution enables testing devices to 802.11ad standard in design validation and manufacturing
  • Scalable solution allows characterizing performance at IF and RF stages of the design and supports analog beamforming
  • Supports fully calibrated connector-less (OTA) testing
  • Complete end-to-end solution, with support for chipset control and fixturing
  • Powered by decades of Keysight’s mmWave expertise

SANTA ROSA, Calif., Feb. 17, 2016 – Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) today announced it will demonstrate the industry’s first integrated, millimeter wave design validation and manufacturing solution for 802.11ad standard at Mobile World Congress, Hall 1, Booth 1E10, Fira Gran Via, Barcelona, Feb. 22-25.

Keysight’s new solution offers a range of device-under-test connectivity options to optimize test systems design. The solution’s bandwidth and frequency coverage are tailored to meet the needs of early adopters testing 802.11ad chipsets and devices. The solution enables performance characterization at baseband and millimeter wave frequencies. Additionally, its scalability gives engineers the flexibility to implement parallel testing of devices.

The solution allows engineers to easily generate the waveforms needed to test components and devices while providing the analysis to offer insight on the true performance of their devices, beyond the requirements of the standards.

“We are pleased to announce Keysight’s market leading solution to solve customers’ 802.11ad test challenges,” said Satish Dhanasekaran, general manager of Keysight’s Mobile Broadband Operation. “This solution brings decades of Keysight’s millimeter wave expertise enabling new devices and applications utilizing the spectrum available at 60GHz”.
