Amaro (Italy), January 25, 2016 – Eurotech, a leading provider of embedded systems, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) platforms and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, today announced ReliaGATE 20-25, a powerful IoT gateway for industrial and lightly rugged applications
The ReliaGATE 20-25 offers a number of key features for an industrial environment: -40 to +85C operating temperature range, surge protected I/O interfaces and a wide range power supply (6 to 32 VDC) with surge and sag protection.
Soon available in single, dual and quad core Intel Atom E38xx configurations with up to 4GB of soldered ECC RAM and 8GB of embedded eMMC, the ReliaGATE 20-25 provides a selection of power and performance options. Protected interfaces to field devices include CAN bus, RS-232/422/485, USB (2.0 and 3.0) and digital I/O.
The ReliaGATE 20-25 includes wireless and wired connectivity: two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces with Modbus support, WiFi, Bluetooth Low Energy and cellular support. Cellular connectivity is truly global, since the ReliaGATE 20-25 supports ReliaCELL 10-20, a family of cellular modules that are pre-certified by leading carriers, so the device can run on the appropriate network with no additional certification required. Select ReliaCELL models also provide GPS capabilities.
Other features include a user-accessible Micro SD slot, a DisplayPort video interface, audio interface and sensors, such as temperature and an accelerometer.
In addition to the standard configurations, Eurotech will offer many personalization options for the ReliaGATE 20-25, including:
- Internal SATA drive
- Internal cellular modem, with user-accessible Micro-SIM slot
- Internal GPS
- TPM
- miniPCIe expansion slots
- Software customization (OS choice, white labeling, etc.)
- Branding options (device color, logo, etc.)
Standard configurations of the ReliaGATE 20-25 will be available with the Everyware Software Framework (ESF), Eurotech’s IoT device middleware, which builds on Eclipse Kura, the open source Java/OSGi application framework for IoT gateways. Distributed and supported by Eurotech, ESF adds advanced security, diagnostics, provisioning, remote access and full integration with Everyware Cloud (EC), Eurotech’s IoT Integration Platform (available separately).
This highly modular approach using ESF speeds up development time by orders of magnitude and dramatically improves both portability across hardware platforms and maintenance of the embedded applications over time.
Used on its own, or in conjunction with EC, the ReliaGATE 20-25 provides a fast go-to-market solution for projects of any size.
ReliaGATE 20-25 will be generally available in late Q1 2016.
