Introducing Footprint Expert Lite!

In response to the current economic hardships, PCB Libraries, Inc. is responding with free PCB library solution! It empowers designers to automate the creation of high quality and reliable PCB footprints for FREE. That’s right – anyone can now build professional PCB footprints in any of our supported CAD tool formats.

The Footprint Expert Lite is based on proven IPC-7351 standards for land pattern technology. The new PCB Footprint Expert (FPX) Lite utilizes component package dimensions and IPC-7351 standard rules or user preferences to auto-generate highly accurate solder patterns for printed circuit board component assembly attachment. The FPX Lite does not require any purchase, has no expiration date and comes with free updates, technical support, and live webcast training.

The FPX Lite interfaces to 17 industry CAD tools, with more in development. If you use Allegro, OrCAD PCB, OrCAD Layout, Altium, Expedition, PADS Layout, CADSTAR, CR-5000, Pantheon, Pulsonix, P-CAD, Ultiboard, EAGLE, DipTrace, or Board Station, then the free PCB Footprint Expert Lite is for you. We are also developing support for other CAD formats such as Target 3001! and DesignSpark.

Download the free Footprint Expert Lite today and start automating your PCB library creation – www.pcblibraries.com

Note from Tom Hausherr, President of PCB Libraries, Inc. –

PCB Libraries, Inc. wants all EE engineers, PCB designers and CAD librarians to have access to a high quality “user friendly” PCB library solution whether they purchase anything or not. Our primary goal is to improve the electronics industries productivity levels by automating PCB library construction across all CAD tool platforms. In the near future we will also offer automated solutions for non-standard unique through-hole and surface mount component package solder pattern technology. In the long term, we are working to greatly reduce PCB library duplication of effort though the creation of a new PCB library exchange system called “Parts on Demand” (POD) which allows industry professionals to upload and download neutral format data files that are quickly translated into PCB library parts using customized user preferences. The POD data files are stored in a professional Part Library Manager on your desktop and can be used to automate the creation of multiple PCB libraries for various applications such as flexible circuits, wave or hand solder patterns, cellular, RF or hand held devices or ruggedized environments. FPX Lite also automates the creation of mfr. recommended solder patterns.
