Xilinx Participates in VLSI Conference 2012

HYDERABAD, India, Jan. 5, 2012 – Xilinx India, a subsidiary of Xilinx Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX), will showcase its breakthrough 28nm programmable platforms at the 25th International Conference on VLSI Design to be held from January 7 – 11, 2012 in Hyderabad.

Xilinx Vice President of Product Development, Suresh Menon, will deliver a keynote address on “FPGA Roadmap: Technology Challenges & Transitioning to Stacked Silicon Interconnect” highlighting how Xilinx innovations are helping the semiconductor industry meet the requests for ever more bandwidth driven by the insatiable demands of the mobile citizenry.

Senior Director of Xilinx India, Narayana Pidugu, is the co-chair of the industry forum on “Embedded Solutions for Emerging Markets – Consumer, Energy, and Automotive.” 

At the booth themed “More than Moore,” Xilinx will showcase four live demos of FPGAs in analog mixed signal, the power advantage of the Xilinx® 7 series FPGAs, video streaming on ZynqTM-7000 EPP and floating-point operations in system generator.  The Xilinx University Program (XUP) will demonstrate state-of-the-art audio, video and face-recognition applications built on the latest Xilinx academic development kits designed specifically for teaching, research and student projects.”

Xilinx is a platinum sponsor for the event, apart from sponsoring the awards ceremony on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. In conjunction with the International Conference on VLSI Design, IEEE will conduct the RASDAT 2012 conference from January 7 – 8, 2012 at the Hyderabad International Convention Center.
