Watch SpaceX test fire its new engine…on the ground in Texas

Screen_Shot_2012-02-02_at_8.46.38_AM.png

Brace yourselves, pyromaniacs. Put away all the matches before you watch the below video of SpaceX’s new SuperDraco engine spewing flame.

Elon Musk’s space exploration company released the video of a successful test-firing of an engine from a test site in McGregor, Texas. The SuperDraco could be used to propel SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft out of Earth’s gravitational pull, and Musk claims it will be the safest such system in history also capable of more accurate landings. As if to prove the point, there are plenty of completely flammable trees in the background of the test-fire site in the video.

Democratizing Centimeter Level GNSS Precision for All Applications
Sponsored by Mouser Electronics and u-blox
In this episode of Chalk Talk, Arnaud Le Lannic from u-blox and Amelia Dalton explore the benefits of the ZED-X20P, all-band high precision GNSS module and the ZED-F20P triple-band high precision GNSS module from u-blox. They also investigate the roles that correction source and centimeter-level positioning services play in these types of designs, and how you can improve your next design with high precision position solutions from u-blox.
