Studies show that you can’t remember colors as well as you think

We already know that our memories are not always as accurate as we would like. According to a team of scientists at John Hopkins, one area where these inaccuracies manifest is in our perception of color. 

In their experiments, the team got participants to pick the “best” color from a wheel of 180 colors, to represent categories like pink, green and blue. They were then shown a color square for a tenth of a second, and asked to pick out the color they saw.
