A Chinese father hired a group of in-game assassins to constantly target and kill his 23-year old son’s character in his favorite role playing game in an attempt to discourage his gaming habits and convince him to get a job. Good luck with that. I’m pretty sure dying all day in a video game is still better than having to work.

Austria’s AMS is launching sensor technology that promises great picture quality on a 42-inch flat panel TV with less energy than a 60-watt lightbulb.

“Superjet” variable cycle jet engine could power future fighter aircraft

GE Aviation is developing a revolutionary new jet engine that aims to combine the best traits of turbojet and turbofan engines, delivering supersonic speed capability and fuel efficiency in one package.

The new engines are being developed under the USAF ADVENT project, which is seeking 25 percent fuel saving which will in turn lead to an increase in mission capability.
