Voltera’s circuit board printer wants to be the ‘Makerbot of electronics’

Pancakes made in the shapes of caterpillar species of the Pacific Northwest

After his daughter cooked up a pancake shaped like a “duck caterpillar,” Nathan Shields of Saipancakes… crafted a set of detailed caterpillar pancakes. Each one was made to match a species that is local to the Pacific Northwest. His pancake batter recipe is available on his website.

Inflatable baby incubator wins James Dyson Award

A prototype inflatable incubator for prematurely-born babies has been picked as the international winner of this year’s James Dyson Award.

Mom costs a fraction of the price to make than commonly-used alternatives.

The project’s inventor – Loughborough University graduate James Roberts – said he hoped the final product would be used in the developing world.
