Man builds a formidable ‘Laser Shotgun’, sets various objects ablaze

Two years back, YouTuber Styropyro, also known as ‘The DIY Laser Guy, caught the internet’s attention with his homemade ‘lightsaber’. 

The three-watt mechanism dwarfs in comparison to his latest innovation–a 40-watt ‘laser shotgun’. 

Styropyro demonstrates the power of the contraption in the video below, by testing the ray on objects such as balloons, a ping-pong ball, flash paper and wood.
